Print Design With the Cause In Mind. (10/27/2009)

NGS is a non-for profit organization that provides educational funding for the children of fallen US soldiers. This years Freedom Award dinner yielded endorsements and participation from various US and DC power-types, including Presidents Bush, Clinton and Bush as well as Senators Liberman (I) and Thune (R). U.S. Army General David H. Petraeus received this years Freedom Award. Wed like to thank J Street Group for the ability to work togetherwe love working with amazing people for a meaningful cause.
See our work here.

Branding HD Real Estate Development (9/21/2009)

House flipping has become all the rage from shows of dysfunctional and failed attempts on HGTV and DIY Network to businesses that pride themselves on not only providing high quality properties, but doing it in a way that benefits the buyer, the neighborhood and keeps the business lucrative.
HD Real Estate Development Inc., or HD RED is a new company that seeks to be the latter. Jesse Hudson and Steve Davis from HD RED contacted VANHANDLER to help create a branded identity that would not catch the eye of contractors, real estate experts and consumers; but one that also could communicate exactly what they do, take a dilapidated property and turn it into a house that someone could call home.
Their logo was designed with the message of renewal in mind. Their HD or high definition home stands out from the blur of other homes in a neighborhood as they create high quality properties that still fit in their setting.
HD RED is in the business of renewal. Their efforts of flipping houses goes beyond profit and helps renew neighborhoods, cities, and most of all, the lives of people who have wanted to buy a quality home but may have never had the opportunity.
See our work here.

Print Materials That Help Make a Difference. (9/20/2009)

Whenever we get to team up with our friends at J Street Group LLC., we know theres something good happening. J Street Group is a DC-based full-service special event firm that specializes in strategic planning, implementation, and ongoing support of programs and eventsat least that what their website says. In reality the women of J Street know how to throw a party that brings out everyone from the world of Washington DC in order to support charities, non-for-profits and campaigns in order to make this world we live in a better place.
We at VANHANDLER love working along with J Street Group on their design materials. From signage to multiple page program layout to email invites, weve created the tools that J Street needs to throw an unforgettable event, and it does us good to know that these efforts benefit families in need.
Our latest assignment was for the families of fallen soldiers in an event designed to create awareness and help support the families they left behind. It was an honor to know that by simply doing what we do, creatively and strategically designing effective communication pieces, we helped contribute to a cause much bigger than ourselves.
See our work here.
